Hotel Raios de Sol, Canarana - Mato Grosso
The Hotel Raios do Sol is located in the centre of Canarana. It is a small hotel with 30 rooms (single, double and triple rooms). All rooms have air conditioning, TV, a bathroom, a small desk, a minibar, a telephone and a wireless network. In the lounge you can watch TV or read the newspaper, and there is also a refrigerator with cold beverages and a laundry service (3,00 reais per piece of clothing including ironing, trousers 5,00 reais). All rooms are non-smoking.
The hotel also has a closed off, secure parking area, with a small swimming pool nearby. There are many restaurants, supermarkets and shops in the vicinity. While one has to reckon with a bit of noise from the passing lorries during the day, at night everything is fairly quiet.
The hotel appears newly built, however, many small things at the rooms either do not work or are not even there (soap holders, racks in the bathrooms, etc.). Unfortunately, there is no better hotel in Canarana, so we think that this hotel will do fine for a night, if you expect nothing too sophisticated. The breakfast here is good by Brazilian standards, but until this day the employees have not been able to serve hot poached eggs. Whoever does not appear at the breakfast room at 6 am, has to eat cold eggs or none at all. The friendliness and cooperativeness of the employees, however, more than make up for this flaw.
