Fazenda Carandá(154 km in front of Cuiabá, in the inside of the Pantanal-area), because of the water-levels and bad streets we make the Transfer only by airplane in a little Cessna (Duration 15 minutes), Start in Poconé.
The Farm is most beautiful, typical and owned by the family since 1910 and opened for visits and tourists for the first time in 2000. About 54 km away from Poconé, surrounded by the Pantanal, far away from civilization and the usual Pantanal-tourism. Here they attach great importance to a gentle tourism – i. e. tourism in accord and in harmony with the nature. Near the Farm there are spacious, unspoiled natural landscapes offering to the visitors an unique view to the local flora and fauna. Although the accommodation does not offer any extravagance the simplicity of the Fazenda is more than compensated for by the beauty of nature and the hospitality of the hosts.

facilities, ventilator as well as a wardrobe and store facilities. Your
loving hosts will spoil you and the delicious food will be enchanting.
Enjoy the typical regional way of cooking of the Pantaneiros. You can experience life on a Hazienda, making full use of the possibilities waiting for you there: enjoy long rides on horseback or trekking-tours to watch the flora and fauna, but also a short boat or fishing trip on the nearby lake. You always dream about watching how they brand the cows and drive together the cattle? This all you can experience live! All tours will be arranged individually according to your suggestions. Most beautiful Farm in the middle of the Pantanal. The Carandá Hotel-Farm is one of our best Lodges. The Carandá Hotel-Farm is 154 km from capital of Mato Grosso, in Poconé. 7 comfortable but simple rooms with bath facilities and ventilator (no air conditioning). Restaurant. Fishing tours possible. Rides on horseback, boat trips and trekking tours through the forest. The journey is a little difficult but worthwhile. Possible for hinge tours. Riding tours, boat tours and trekking tours to the woods. Due to the water-level the Fazenda is attainable only from May until October. After this only with the aeroplane after Poconé (flying time about 15 minutes, airfare on inquiry).
Tour example (All tours will be individually arranged for according to your desires and constitution. Our guides will always take into consideration your suggestions; therefore the example described in the following is only a rough example). 1st day: Cuiabá – Fazenda Carandá (154 km)Our travel guide picks you up from the airport in Cuiabá and journey in the air-conditioned minibus to Poconé (approximately 100 km). Here you will have lunch with a typically Brazilian family. Due to the bad road conditions from Poconé to the Fazenda Carandá, it is possible that you will have to switch cars. You will ride another 54 km in a pick-up truck to the Fazenda Carandá, and if you want, you can sit in the back, in the loading area (there is room for two people in the driver’s cab, cars depending on availability and road quality). In the time from November to the end of April, a transfer from/to Poconé is only possible via airplane to the Fazenda Carandá (about 15 minutes’ flight; extra charge).This accommodation offers no luxury, however, the pretty environment and the kindness of your hosts more than make up for the fazenda’s plainness. There are seven cosily furnished rooms, all of them simple but clean and practical. They each have a bathroom with a shower, a fan and a wardrobe, as well as room for your things. Let your kind hosts spoil you and the local food enchant you. Savour the typical cuisine of the Pantaneiros.
2nd - 3rd day: Fazenda CarandáDuring your stay on the Fazenda Carandá you will carry out substantial tours by horse, on foot and by boat and the uniqueness and beauty of the Pantanal, far as of of the civilization experience. Let yourself be enchanted with the kindness and hospitality of the Fazendabesitzer, this one wanted to grant you an unforgettable stay. The tours and excursions are designed individual according to your wishes.Here you can experience life on a fazenda for yourself, go on extensive horseback rides or trekking tours to watch the local flora and fauna, or go on a smaller boat and fishing tour on the lake nearby. Would you like to see cattle being branded and rounded up? That is possible as well. All tours will be suited to fit your individual wishes. Our guides are at your disposal 24 hours a day and know the flora and fauna of Pantanal like the backs of their hands. 4th day: Fazenda Carandá – Poconé – CuiabáAfter breakfast, you bid farewell to the Fazenda Carandá and take the 54 km back to Poconé by plane. There the airport you can make themselves a little fresh again, the car is changed to and you go to Cuiabá or another excursion to Chapada.
