Fazenda/Pousada Curicacá

Rodovia Transpantaneira, km 25 + 3 km private road

Curicaca Wildlife Refuge is located 25 km away from Poconé. In stark contrast to the rest of lodges along the Transpantaneira road, the whole area is dedicated only to wildlife conservation, with no cattle rising at all, and the complete preservation of the native forest.

The accommodation includes 20 single, double or three bed rooms, plus two suite rooms with a private salon for those who need to work, one swimming pool, an internet room, a large working salon for students or researchers and an opened luxury restaurant (closed with mosquito net) surrounded by the virgin forest from where wildlife can be watched while having lunch. Other important services offered are the laundry and the free Wi-Fi connection in the whole area.

The surrounding trees provide a refreshing wind. The fully screened restaurant serves typical Pantanal meals and you can see the monkeys jumping in the trees outside and several other animals passing by. Next to that there is a small bar. Between the activities and meals in the restaurant you can enjoy the swimming-pool to refresh.
