A wild traditional cattle ranch of 9,000 hectar. The location is very pleasant in spacious building with just 20 rooms and a panoramic verandah looking out onto the savannah from where a constant breeze blows.

Is surrounded by palm trees that provide food and shelter to many Hyacinth Macaws. The most versatile form of exploring the Pantanal is on horseback which makes it easier to cross the forests and the flooded areas. Well-known dishes plus delicious local specialties are served. Rooms - 20 spacious rooms with private toilet and ceiling fan. Air-conditioning is to be installed shortly. When you book the special tour you stay on this place for one day.


Swarms of macaws are found in an immediate proximity of the Fazenda now, one already hears her of far and must only locate to the voices to then find her in the oil palms, just in the lunchtime they retire in this to evade the heat. Excellent possibilities of watching and taking of a photograph the birds result with that.

Other species of animals, how toco toucan, rhea, Jabiru, noses, wash and anteaters, water pigs, otters and great collections of caymans have to be watched frequently. This Fazenda is must one for nature lovers and photographers.


Equipment

The Lodge disposed about 20 clean ones, rooms very simply fitted out, of this 12, room with air conditioner, other rooms only with ventilator, all rooms with bath/shower, restaurant. Of the surroundings of the Pantanal as well as the destinations of the outing of this Fazenda it is one of most beautiful accommodations in the Pantanal although accommodation meals are not particularly and very simple.


Tour example

(All tours will be individually arranged for according to your desires and constitution. Our guides will always take into consideration your suggestions; therefore the example described in the following is only a rough example.) 


Day 1: Cuiabá – Pantanal (138 km + 7 km privat road)

Pick-up at the airport in Cuiabá by our travel guide. From there, an approx. 100-km drive to Poconé on asphalted roads. Upon your arrival in Poconé, you will first enjoy lunch with a typical Brazilian family, featuring typical native Matogrossensian cuisine (this depends upon the time of arrival). After lunch we go along the Transpantaneira, with several stops along the way to observe the unique flora and fauna along the Transpantaneira and continue for another 37 km on dirt road, we will have good chances to spot a good number of birds and other wildlife, stop frequently to see and photograph birds, including egrets, herons, storks, ibises, lapwings, hawks, and others. We will arrive at the Pousada Pouso Alegre in time, later in the afternoon we will go for a walking safari looking for more animals and birds. The region around Pouso Alegre is a mixture of open lands, marshy áreas and forested islands great for birding and wildlife viewing. After dinner, we will go for a night walking safari to spotlight night creatures, including foxes, raccoons, owls, spiders, snakes, and others. Overnight at Pousada Pouso Alegre.



Day 2: Pantanal

Full day dedicated to observing the Pantanal's flora and fauna found on the Pouso Alegre private reserve. Early morning walk for bird and wildlife viewing. Return to the Lodge for Breakfast. After breakfasty we will take a Nature walk through the woods to learn more about the local environment and to see more wildlife, inlcuding toucans, parrots, macaws, coati and capybaras, howler monkeys, Greater rheas, storks, and many others. Return to the lodge for lunch. In the afternoon your guide will lead you on a horseback ride to continue exploring the forest and grasslands to spot animals and birds, including rheas, marsh deer, armadillos, storks, coatis, capybaras, hyacinth macaws, howler monkeys, and a dozen of other animals and birds. After diner we will go out again for a night jeep safari with spotlights looking for more animals. Overnight at Pousada Pouso Alegre.


Day 3 Pantanal - Cuiabá

After breakfast transfer back to the airport of Cuiabá in time for your domestic flight.

After breakfast piranha-fishing in motorized canoes followed by lunch. Other program look under Day 2.

After breakfast transfer back to the airport of Cuiabá in time for your domestic flight.
