The lodge has 10 rooms altogether, each with a bathroom (shower, toilet), fan and air conditioning. There is also a restaurant (buffet) and a swimming pool. Beverages are easy to purchase here. The transfer from the airport in Cuiabá to the pousada takes about two hours.

Result:

This one does not reward Lodge for a visit very overexpensive, renovation needy. If the owner does not feel like boiling, the tourists are referred with her travel guide into a neighbouring Pousada/Lodge to take the lunch and dinner there. The owner this Lodge is the local tourism secretary and, only his own interests, around his old person in principle inflated to one to sell price. Therefore we warn here against a visit.

Itinerary:

1st day: Cuiabá – Pantanal

After arrival at Cuiabá airport our guide welcomes you and the drive into the Pantanal through Poconé on the Transpantaneira begins. In Poconé you will first have lunch with a typically Brazilian family (depending on arrival time at the airport). Afterwards drive into the Pantanal with brief stops by the Transpantaneira for opportunities to watch and photograph animals. After arrival at the Pousada Portal Paraiso you can freshen up a bit or relax by the pool. Later the first tours are offered, but of course you may as well stay by the pool. In the late afternoon there will be a short hike in the environment of the lodge. After dinner nighttime safari to watch or track nocturnal animals.

2nd day: Pantanal

At 5 am sunrise tour to give you a chance to see the many birds living in the vicinity of the lodge. The Pantanal awakes and the day begins, an incredibly beautiful natural spectacle. After breakfast you drive along the Transpantaneira and make several stops on the way to Rio Clarinho (25 km) to watch and photograph the flora and fauna on both sides of the Transpantaneira. After arrival at Rio Clarinho you will go about 5 km by canoe to Rio Claro, far from civilisation in the midst of the unique natural landscape of the two rivers. You have lunch in the Pousada Rio Claro and can relax afterwards. At around 4 pm drive back by motorboat on Rio Claro into the vicinity of the Pousada Portal Paraiso. Here you will be picked up in the vehicle and taken back to the lodge, where you arrive at about 6:30 pm. Dinner. In the evening another nighttime safari to watch nocturnal animals (by request).

3rd day: Pantanal

After breakfast you go on a photo safari along the Transpantaneira on the hanger of a tractor (about two hours), return to the lodge and lunch. In the afternoon you go on an extensive horseback ride in the vicinity of the lodge (2-3 hours). Dinner. After dinner nighttime safari to track nocturnal animals (by request).

4th day: Pantanal – Cuiabá

After breakfast depending on departure time transfer to the airport in Cuiabá or further excursions until departure.

2 horseback rides (three hours each) during your stay.
1 canoe tour, daily nighttime safaris, excursion in a tractor along the Transpantaneira, lunch with a typically Brazilian family (depending on arrival time in Cuiabá).

Not including:

Drinks, possible tips and personal expenditure.
Sightseeing flight about the Pantanal as of/at Poconé in a Cessna (+ 300,00 euro per hour for up to 3 persons).
