Tour 1.1: Many "crocodiles", but not a single tear!5 days/4 nights from/to Cuiabá (can be conducted from May to November) - Printout On this trip you will get to know diverse ecosystems. You will switch accommodations three times in the process. This way you get to experience (year-round) the different landscapes – and return from the Pantanal region with the greatest-possible fill of new impressions and experiences – and of course with numerous photos of “crocodiles” (which are really alligators and caimans). Programme schedule:Day 1: Cuiabá - Pousada Rio ClaroPickup at the airport in Cuiabá by our travel guide. From there, an approx. 100- km drive to Poconé on asphalted roads. Upon your arrival in Poconé, you will first enjoy lunch with a typical Brazilian family, featuring typical native Matogrossensian cuisine (this depends upon the time of arrival). Afterwards drive to your first accommodation, the pousada Rio Claro (approx. 42 km) by the side of the Transpantaneira, with several stops along the way to savour the unique flora and fauna along the Transpantaneira. Arrival at the pousada Rio Claro, 3 km away from the Transpantaneira, situated on the banks of the Rio Claro.In the late afternoon, you will take a tour by boat – primarily to search for various bird species and howler monkeys. Then, a night safari with torches and spotlights, to watch nocturnal animals (after dinner).
Day 2: Pousada Rio ClaroAfter breakfast you will gain an initial overview of the diversity in the vegetation, as well as in the bird and animal world – during a hike. You then go looking for the nests of the Jabiru stork (June to September) and the blue-hyacinth macaw, along with other bird species. After a siesta (for instance in a hammock) you go on a horseback ride, one of the best ways to explore the Pantanal. After dinner, touring resumes – to track caimans and other nocturnal animals.Day 3: Pousada Pouso AlegreBefore breakfast: a boat trip on the river Rio Claro, to watch the awakening of various birds and other animal species. After breakfast trip to the fazenda Pouso Alegre (duration: approx. half an hour), a traditional livestock ranch on 9000 ha. The fazenda is famous for its macaw flocks which roost there. In the afternoon guided riding tour to observe more animals. Then, after dinner, another night safari to track nocturnal animals.observe  Day 4: Fazenda Santa TerezaAt approximately 6:00 am, you will start out on a hike to watch the sunrise. After breakfast drive along the Transpantaneira and a private road (approx. 3 km long), to the fazenda Santa Tereza on the Pixaim river. In the afternoon, during a boat trip on the Pixaim River, you will try your luck at piranha-fishing; here you also have the best chances to observe wild otters. Upon request there is also the option to take another trip after dinner to search for nocturnal animals.Day 5: Fazenda Santa Tereza - CuiabáAfter breakfast: trip to Cuiabá or another guided riding tour (depending on the flight departure time). The programme ends at the airport in Cuiabá. Optional extension:1st till 4th day as described above.
5th day: Chapada dos GuimarãesAfter breakfast you are taken to Chapada. Lunch in Chapada dos Guimarães, at a regional restaurant or at the Pousada do Parque. Followed by a visit to the national park. During the hike through the highlands one has the opportunity to bathe under one of the many waterfalls. Also, a visit to the cave "Casa de Pedra" (with a subterranean river), view from Morro de São Jerônimo; visit to the highest waterfall in the region Véu de Noiva – with a height of 96 m – which falls into a majestic canyon. Overnight stay at the Hotel Turismo or at the Pousada do Parque.6th day: Chapada dos Guimarães – CuiabáAfter breakfast drive from Chapada dos Guimarães to the airport in Cuiabá.Prices apiece:
