Tour 12: Chapada dos Guimarães – Nobres (Lagoa Azul) - Bom Jardim - Lagoa das Araras

4 days/3 nights

This programme, however, has to be combined with each of our tour programmes in the Pantanal and Mato Grosso either as a connection programme or as a completion programme of your journey to Mato Grosso also as an individual journey and therefore offers an excellent alternative programme to the different vegetation forms and ecosystems which Mato Grosso has to offer.

1st day:

Collection in Cuiabá at the airport and journey to Chapada dos Guimarães (approximately 70 km). You spend two nights in the Hotel Turismo or in the Pousada do Parque (depending on choice) and experience the single beauty of these panel mountains there.

In the afternoon (depending on time of arrival) visit of the National park.

During the walk by the highland one has the opportunity to take a bath under one of the many waterfalls.

With a height of 86 m to a majestic canyon this one fells Noiva visit the cave Casa de Pedra (with an underground river), view of Morro de São Jerônimo (836 m), the highest waterfall the region Véu de Noiva.

Dinner in a local restaurant in Chapada dos Guimarães. Overnight stay in the Hotel Turismo or in the Pousada Penhasco.

2nd day:

After the breakfast we go to Nobres for snorkelling. We inspect this other eco system and very beautiful region of Mato Grosso We go to the dripstone cave.

We are after simple lunch in the Pousada Bom Jardim equipped with snorkel utensils since Lagoa Azul (life jacket, diver's goggles, snorkel and diver shoes). In the crystal-clear source basin we are swimming in the sub-water world. Fish like the Pintado, Dorado and various other fishes live in this water basin. We snorkel in a river.

Lagoa das Araras (1 km in front of Bom Jardim):

3rd day:

Rows and hustle and bustles of hundreds of macaws and parrots watch before the breakfast (get up toward 5 o'clock) once again one excursion to the Lagoa das Araras (approximately 1 km of journey), around which. Return to the Pousada Bom Jardim and return journey to Chapada dos Guimarães, lunch in a regional restaurant. In the afternoon it works to the Centro Geodesico (centre of South America). The single vantage point lies exactly in the middle of South America. One sees there more than 100 km far at a good sight. We go to the little place Chapada dos Guimarães where the lunch waits for us (local restaurant). Many Cuiabaner have her little weekend house in this village. Through this it is very busy at the weekends. "Veu de Noivas" go to the best known waterfall. The water falls here to a 70 metres deep ravine. After this walk to the Andorinhas waterfall. Time for taking a bath is, perhaps one is courageously enough to jump down the waterfall what is necessary here as a test of courage.

4th day:

After the breakfast depending on departure time or connection programme transfer at the airport or beginning the connection programme.

Note:

At our tours becomes Bom Jardim of Chapada dos Guimarães put in, about 170 km distance (street did not asphalt 40 km of this). Depending on street quality (not asphalted) the journey can be very exhausting. After the visit of the Lagoa Azul these are then 30 km not asphalt street up to the Pousada Bom Jardim once again. We ask you to take this into account at your journey planning. .

After this cooling we return to the hotel or the Pousada (depending on choice of accommodation). After a refreshment (showers) and a little Relaxen dinners in Chapada in a local restaurant.
