Tour 7: Three Ecosystems in one tourChapada dos Guimarăes - Amazon area - Pantanal8 days/7 nights, only from March until December, min. 2 persons   1st day: Cuiabá - Chapada dos GuimarăesCollection at the airport in Cuiabá by our travel guide, streets asphalted about 70 km of journey to Chapada dos Guimarăes. Here you spend a night in the Hotel Turismo or in the Pousada do Parque (depending on choice). You experience the single beauty of these panel mountains.In the afternoon (depending on time of arrival) visit of the National park. During the walk by the highland one has the opportunity to take a bath under one of the many waterfalls, underground rivers and a beautiful landscape.
2nd day: Chapada dos Guimarăes - Amazon rain forest
After the breakfast of the next day it works to the Centro Geodesico (centre of South America). The single vantage point lies exactly in the middle of South America. One sees there more than 100 km far at a good sight. We go to the little place Chapada dos Guimarăes where the lunch waits for us in a restaurant (local restaurant). 4th day: Amazon rain forestAfter the breakfast it works to the deep jungle! You will get to know the flora and fauna of the rain forest here and good chances have to see tapirs and many miscellaneous birds. You find out the tour is then continued with a boat trip at the Rio Claro the "Anaconda lake" and swim on the beach of Palmeira. After that a picnic and relaxation follows in the hammock. Listen to observation of the jungle and the noises after lunch canoe journey at the Rio Claro with his different wild animals. Dinner and overnight stay in the Lodge.
5th day: Amazon rainforest – Pantanal (Pousada Rio Claro)Breakfast and departure to Pantanal, a drive of 420 km (310 of which are on asphalt roads and 110 on non-asphalt roads). Once we arrive in Poconé, you will have dinner with a typically Brazilian family and savour the indigenous cuisine of Mato Grosso (depending on arrival time). Afterwards drive to the first accommodation, the Pousada Rio Claro (approximately 45 km) on the Transpantaneira, including several stops to watch the flora and fauna near the Transpantaneira. Arrival at Pousada Rio Claro, situated 3 km from the Transpantaneira on the shore of Rio Claro.In the late afternoon you will go on a boat tour to track down various bird species and howler monkeys. After dinner nighttime safari with torches and headlights to watch nocturnal animals.
6th day: Pousada Rio Claro – Fazenda Santa TerezaTowards 6 am, you start out on a hike to watch the sun rising. After breakfast drive on the Transpantaneira and a private road about 3 km long to the Fazenda Santa Tereza, located by the river Pixaim. In the afternoon, you can try your luck fishing piranhas on the river; your chances of seeing free-living giant otters are best here. On request you can go on another tour after dinner tracking nocturnal animals.7th day: Fazenda Santa Tereza – Curicaca-LodgeBefore breakfast canoa tour on Rio Pixaim to watch the awakening of the diverse birds and other animal species. After breakfast drive to Curicaca-Lodge (about half an hour’s ride), in stark contrast to the rest of lodges along the Transpantaneira road, the whole area is dedicated only to wildlife conservation, with no cattle rising at all, and the complete preservation of the native forest. This lodge is a paradise for birdlover. You make some excursions in the near gallery forest or a canoa tour at the little Rio Nova, also you can make a horse riding tour. After dinner you make a night safari, near the Lodge.
8th day: Pantanal – CuiabáYou go on a little hike before sunrise to feel the morning mood of nature. Enjoy the colours and sounds of the local fauna. After breakfast free time, since right after lunch or maybe even sooner you will be transferred to Cuiabá airport or to your booked hotel in Cuiabá. On request, additional days and tours to Nobres, Chapada dos Guimarăes or more time in Pantanal are possibleWhat you should take along?T-shirts and shirts for the sleeping, gym shoes or walking shoes, jeans or trekking trousers, watch and suntan cream and camera, sweatshirt of June until September.
