During the tour, you will be able to know and appreciate the beauties of “Cidade Baixa”, as this part of Salvador is called. We will also visit the famous “Igreja do Bonfim” (Bonfim church), place which holds several different religious manifestations of Bahia people and where the famous feast of “Lavagem do Bonfim” takes place (when the steps of the church are washed). During this tour, we will visit traditional neighborhoods such as Ribeira, where we will stop at “Sorveteria da Ribeira” (Ribeira Ice Cream store), which has offered several delicious and different flavors of ice cream since 1931. The last part of our tour is devoted to visit the famous “Forte de São Marcelo” (São Marcelo Fort). This fort, which is almost circular, was built in 1650, because of the danger of a Dutch invasion and it played a fundamental role in preventing enemies from entering the port. The magnificent view of “Baía de Todos os Santos” makes the visit to the fort even better and makes this tour very special! Duration:4 hours.
