Fullday tour  Mosqueiro Island
The preferred bathing spot for the people of Belém, The Island got it’s name from the habit used by fisherman to “moquear” (stew the fish in Indian fashion for late comsumption); the name was first “Mosqueio”, then over time becoming the current Mosqueiro. Founded some 103 years ago, Mosqueiro Island, center of the resort town that bears its name, holds many leisure options for those who visit.

Ever since the end of the last century, Mosqueiro has been a resort for the population of Belém. A Paradiasical island, with beaches where the waves make one think they are on Atlantic, a favorite beach town of the well-to-do during holiday periods.

In the Island there are some beautiful chalets built as summer residences lending the island a certain charm, in despite of the advanced of more modern architecture. Opportunity for swimming at freshwater beach in the Amazon Delta.
